Basic Insurance Cover

The Basic Insurance premium starts at OMR 50/- and provides cover for all your personal contents.

Basic Insurance policy: This policy covers you for damage due to accidental fire (caused due to smoke/short circuit or any other causes not excluded in your policy), water leakage (from air-condition ducts/fridges/bursting of taps/water tanks), explosion of gas cylinder (full/total damage), or loss of/or damage to contents due to attempted burglary/theft (when someone breaks in /breaks out of your house) provided your doors/windows were locked during the attempt.

Free Additional Covers

Our Basic Insurance includes an extensive range of built-in free covers, to provide you with a feeling of security. This cover applies to your personal effects.

• Loss of/or damage to domestic servant’s/driver’s property up to 15 per cent of the Total Sum Insured on Contents.
• Visitor’s Personal Effects covered up to OMR 250/- for loss of /or damage to your visitor’s personal belongings (other than Cash, Valuables or Documents) caused in your home by an accidental damage or any peril listed in your policy.
• If you are found liable or legally responsible for injuring someone (a third party) accidentally or unintentionally or for damaging their property, this coverage will compensate up to OMR 25,000, subject to the Limits of Liability. For example, if a third party person accidentally falls down the stairs of your home, is injured and cannot resume work, we would compensate them for their loss.

All Risk’s Worldwide Cover

This additional Personal Belongings cover insures your listed Personal Effects whether you are inside your home or outside. Moreover, this cover is applicable while you’re in Oman or anywhere around the world. We will cover loss of/or damage to your valuables such as jewellery, laptop, camera, mobile phones and the like.

Terms & Conditions for All Risk’s Cover:

• 3% of the Total Sum Insured is provided under All Risk’s Worldwide Cover.
• An inventory detailing your Personal Contents should be provided.
• Two-wheelers (cycles and bikes), designer bags and sunglasses are excluded from the scope of the cover.
• In the event of a claim for any single Personal Content, the Onus of Proof should be provided by you.
